Crono SC portable pump was successfully tested for Treprostinil infusion, obtaining an indication for use in pulmonary hypertension in addition to palliative care.
The possibility of selecting reduced partial volumes compatible with the amount of drug to be administered and the possibility of setting infusion rates from 5 to 2,000 µl/hour in increments of 1 µl/hour allow it to be used in patients suffering from this particular rare disease.
The pump is indicated in subcutaneous infusions allowing 4 modes of administration:
Continuous
Bolus on request
Clinical bolus (managed by the doctor)
Combined (continuous + bolus on demand + clinical bolus)
The pump is equipped with a keypad lock to prevent incorrect or unauthorised administration.
The liquid crystal display shows physician and patient information on pump programming, operation and diagnostics.
