CRONO PAR infusion pumps are used for the treatment of Parkinson's disease with apomorphine (active ingredient), using dedicated 20, 30 and 50 ml syringes called réservoirs.
The small size and light weight of our infusion pumps make them ideal for home use, giving the patient the freedom to carry out daily activities during therapy.
The main technical features of the pump are:
• the possibility of selecting two different device programming modes:
- one defined as FrEE which allows the patient to freely select one of the 3 available flows pre-programmed by the doctor during the day;
- the other defined as Auto which manages, via a clock, a profile of flows pre-programmed by the doctor which change automatically over the course of 24 hours per day.
• the presence of 2 microcontrollers for greater safety and reliability of the instrument.
The feed mechanism acts directly on the piston of the reservoir, allowing the pump to deliver the drug accurately.
For better absorption of the drug, the pump delivers shots of 20 µl at intervals depending on the flow setting.
The time interval between shots decreases proportionally as the programmed flow increases.
The CRONO PAR, CRONO PAR 20 and CRONO PAR 50 are equipped with a liquid crystal display that shows physician and patient information on pump programming, operation and diagnostics.
